Before resulting to invasive options, I began the hunt for skincare that would soften or smooth my deepening lines. So, when freezeframe® WRINKLE BLOCK landed on my desk promising to block expression lines, I knew I had to give it a try.
freezeframe® is an Australian clinical skincare brand sold through pharmacies. Linking beauty with science, freezeframe® creates high tech, efficacious products that address common beauty gripes, such as wrinkles.
It’s a sad fact, but by the age of 30 our skin’s foundation has started to weaken and it doesn’t bounce back as it once would. Elastin begins to breakdown and our skin produces less collagen resulting in the formation of expression lines and eventually wrinkles.
WRINKLE BLOCK promises to block up to 78 per cent of expression line wrinkles in just 30 minutes and last for 48 hours. Using peptides, the balm blocks expression wrinkles through a relaxation effect that slows down the facial movement which creates creases and then, provides the skin the energy to bounce back from movement. Essentially, it’s a needle-free wrinkle relaxer.
Sound too good to be true? I took the WRINKLE BLOCK home and used it for four weeks. The formula comes in a solid stick format which I really like, because it makes for a foolproof application plus gives a nice massage feel as I run it over my forehead and under eye area. The formula is relatively lightweight, non-greasy and absorbs quickly into the skin. After first application, I checked my reflection for immediate results, and I noticed a definite tightening of the under-eye area. The lines on my forehead, which are much deeper than any near my eyes, might need a little longer.
After four weeks, my skin felt fresher, brighter and generally more awake. I noticed an increase in hydration and firmness in my skin and I was surprised by how many compliments I had from people telling me how “fresh” I looked. I think I’ll steer clear of cosmetic injections for a little while yet.
